Volunteer Roles

As a multi venue festival, we need a lead volunteer for each of our festival locations, to organise the team of volunteers and ensure everyone and everything is where it should be!
This role is particularly suited to those who have volunteered with the festival previously. Lead volunteers will be instructed by our festival staff and work from a logistics sheet for each day. Ideally, lead volunteers will be available for whole day shifts.

Some of our events use projectors and speakers. Tech support volunteers will assist with ensuring that all of the technology needed during events is set up correctly and assist with any issues which come up during the events.

General team members will help out with everything the festival needs to run! Reporting to the Lead Volunteer, they will be responsible for all general tasks, including helping to set up and pack away events, check tickets, and assist customers, authors, speakers and venue staff with requests.

If you’d like to volunteer but you don’t necessarily want to be customer facing, our backstage volunteers will assist with set up and clearing away of events, and support the team and speakers by making sure water, tea and coffee are available and resources for events are available.
