Turn your City Wild with Christiane Engel
Time & Location
11 Jul 2026, 11:30 – 12:30
Wildwood Trust, Wealden Forest Park, Canterbury Rd, Herne Common, Herne Bay CT6 7LQ, UK
About the event
Join illustrator Christiane Engel for a fun drawing and collage workshop inspired by Cities Going Wild.
Children are invited to help transform a cityscape by adding animals, plants and imaginative green spaces, exploring how nature can thrive alongside people in urban environments.
This is a relaxed, drop-in session where participants can contribute to a large collaborative artwork and try out simple illustration techniques along the way.
Recommended for all ages!
Tickets for this event are included with your entry ticket to Wildwood (for free if you are a Wildwood member), but if you would like to pre-order Cities Going Wild you can do that here and will be able to get it signed after the event. Any other donations from ticket sales supports the running, continuation and expansion of Canterbury Children's Literature Festival and our year round outreach work within the local community.
